The training course on “Clinical Pharmacology” and “Current Issues of Rational Pharmacotherapy in the Work of General Practitioner” using a mediator language for the students of International Institute of Medical Education and Cooperation is completed at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology. The study was difficult; however all the students noted the importance of the subject, its practical focus and demand in future clinical activities. The teachers on their part tried to take an individual approach to the educational process taking into account the difficulties of teaching in English, to use examples from clinical practice for a better understanding of the subject and based their explanations on modern international clinical recommendations.
The department staff hope that next year communication with students from other countries will also be productive, full of new ideas and intercultural exchange.
Feedback from our students:
Subject: Clinical Pharmacology: A Cornerstone of Excellence in Our Future Professions
Dear Newsline Readers,
The clinical pharmacology classes we are currently taking are shaping our future professions in profound ways. This curriculum delves deeply into the intricate world of drug interactions, evidence-based medicine, and drug safety. These insights are not just academic exercises; they are the foundation for providing exceptional patient care.
By understanding the mechanisms of drug action and the potential for adverse effects, we are empowered to make informed decisions about medication choices, dosages, and monitoring strategies. We learn to critically evaluate research, ensuring that our treatment plans are based on the best available evidence. And through the lens of clinical pharmacology, we gain a deeper appreciation for the ethical and safety considerations that are paramount in our field.
As we move forward in our careers, we will carry these invaluable lessons with us, always striving for excellence in our practice.
Sincerely,
AYUSH

The conference participants were greeted by Tilekeeva U.M., Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology at the I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, and Karpova A.V., Vice-Rector for International Affairs at N.N. Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University.
The programme included topics on mentoring in Russian medical education (reported by Alexeeva G.A., Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages, N.N. Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University) and the peculiarities of teaching clinical pharmacology to Indian students (reported by Goncharova N.Yu., Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, N.N. Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University).
The discussion began with the presentation by Preobrazhenskaya N.S., Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, N.N. Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University, which analyzed the results of the survey of international students studying clinical pharmacology. dedicated to the 30th anniversary of International Institute of
Medical Education and Cooperation: Results and Outputs
On December 14, 2022, a teaching and learning conference «Achievements of Morphological Sciences in Medicine» dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the International Institute of Medical Education and Cooperation (MIMOS) took place in the Research Institute of Experimental Biology and Medicine, N.N. Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University. The second-year MIMOS students studying in English participated in the conference. The event was organized by the staff of the Research Institute, the Departments of Histology and Normal Human Anatomy. The students attended research laboratories of the Institute, saw the process of making histological preparations with further visualization using a Zeiss microscope. Viktoriya V. Shishkina, Head of the Research Institute, Associate Professor of the Department of Histology, demonstrated students polarizing and dark-field microscopy options, and discussed potentials of immunohistochemical staining techniques in clinical medicine. Students presented discipline-related scientific reports that resulted in a lively discussion. All students were awarded certificates of the conference participants.
This conference stimulated MIMOS students’ interest in research activities and provided their further collaboration with the staff of the Research Institute of Experimental Biology and Medicine, Voronezh Medical University!
